Carolyn has a passion for working with adults. She feels it is a privilege to be part of your healing and growth journey. She understands each person has their own story and finding their unique balance will come in many diverse methods depending on what works best for each individual. This is why Carolyn is trained in a variety of modalities such as: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, Solution Focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing and CBTp. She also enjoys working with Sandtray therapy.
Carolyn received her Master’s Degree from Liberty University (Virginia) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With over 20 years in the mental health profession, she has a wide variety of experience which includes: community mental health, addiction recovery, and older individuals and their families. Her knowledge expands in treating populations with Anxiety, PTSD, Trauma, Grief, Depression, ADHD, Chronic illness, Life Transitions, Women’s issues, Addiction treatment, and Psychosis.
Carolyn grew up in San Diego however she now calls Utah her home. She lives with her husband in their forever home. She has 3 daughters, 2 Sons in law, and 5 beautiful granddaughters. She survived being stung by both a stingray (in the ocean) and a brown recluse spider bite (in a hotel). She loves family time, reading, and having dance parties with all types of music.
