Mental Health Therapist: CLOSED

South Counseling, a part of South District Twenty-Eight in Orem, UT is hiring a Mental Health Therapist to join our team.  Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC or Associates are welcome to apply.  This is an empathetic, supportive, and non-competitive work environment where we value diversity and inclusion on our team.  This is a W-2 position.

Prior private practice experience is a plus, but we are willing to train you as well.  In-office and telehealth options available.  Our ideal candidate is a passionate mental health therapist wanting to work in an outpatient setting, providing individual psychotherapy for our client base. Our ideal candidate would be a motivated, passionate, team focused, and ethically oriented psychotherapist.

We specialize working with chronic health issues and we welcome an array of specialties you may offer that are fitting with what we practice.  We have a goal of holistic wellness care for those living with chronic health issues and plan to grow into a wellness clinic within the next year or two.

We will have a library of resources and books, sandtray therapy, art therapy supplies, and some play therapy toys/materials.  We also run groups, workshops, conferences, and retreats.

Requirements:

  • Fully licensed in the state of Utah as PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCMHC

  • Provisionally licensed in the state of Utah (supervision provided)

  • Interest in building clinical skills

  • Understand a wide range of diagnoses and clinical theories

  • Experience in CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness

*Preference for applicants with an understanding and/or experience working with individuals with Chronic Illness and Pain

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent and compassionate communication and professionalism

  • Interest in Holistic, Collaborative Healthcare

  • Competency in working with Trauma or willingness to be trained and mentored

  • Desire to work with and understanding of clients dealing with Chronic Illness and Pain, Medical Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, and Self-Development

  • Interest in growing with our team long-term

  • Ability to be both self-directed and collaborative

  • Insurance paneled/credentialed (we can also help you with this)

Responsibilities:

  • Assess nature of clients' situations by interviewing and reviewing personal history

  • Develop and customize individual treatment plans

  • Create treatment goals to review with client

  • Providing individual and couple’s therapy services

  • Maintain accurate client documentation

  • Use Jane online software for scheduling, chart notes, and payments

  • Attend regular team trainings/meetings

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Starting wage is $40-$50 per session, DOE. ($60,000-$75,000+)

Administrative Assistant: CLOSED

South Counseling, a part of South District Twenty-Eight in Orem, UT is hiring an Administrative Assistant to join our team.  This is an empathetic, supportive, and non-competitive work environment where we value diversity and inclusion on our team.  We provide mental health and healing services; with a main niche focus on chronic illness challenges. This is a W-2 position and part time. Our ideal candidate would be a motivated, organized, passionate, team focused, and ethically oriented individual.  Must have good working knowledge of patient insurance, good attention to detail, ease with electronic health records, and superb customer service skills.

Requirements:

  • Understands and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures (including HIPAA and compliance requirements)

  • Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information

  • Helpful, knowledgeable, and polite while maintaining a positive attitude

  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem-solving skills

  • Work collaboratively

  • Working knowledge of office equipment

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree/Training in related field

Office Responsibilities:

  • Greeting clients, taking payments, scheduling clients, manage calendar, and handle cancellations in Jane software

  • Send out client paperwork and make sure insurance/card on file are completed as well

  • Follow up with clients when they don’t complete tasks or contracts

  • Answer customer service or support emails and phone calls

  • Answer inquiries on business social media pages or website contact form

  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, letters, invoices, reports and other correspondence

  • Manage inbox and emails

  • Sort and deliver incoming mail and send outgoing mail

  • Filing, data entry

  • Creating material for the office (using various software)

  • Coordinating meetings and meeting notes

Billing Responsibilities: (assisting current biller)

  • Knowledge of healthcare billing practices, reimbursement, and collections practices

  • Obtains authorization and qualification of documentation when needed

  • Conducts insurance verification and eligibility for services

  • Processes new claims, corrected claims, and appeals.

  • Responds to denials, questions, and resolves issues in a timely manner to ensure patient and employee satisfaction

  • Collects co-pays and deductible amounts

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $15-$18 per hour, DOE
